Equations of state for cryogenic mixtures

Reference equations of state for helium, neon and argon mixtures (PhD, CEA / NIST)

My PhD, as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow at CEA Grenoble with a long research stay at NIST Boulder, developed equations of state for the thermodynamic properties of cryogenic mixtures of helium, neon and argon. Accurate multi-parameter models were fitted to experimental data through non-linear optimization and then confirmed experimentally, so that they could serve as thermophysical references. Industrial interest extended the work to non-noble-gas mixtures, including a helium-nitrogen equation of state used for the process-cycle design of a Brayton-cycle refrigerator within the EASITrain H2020 programme.
